EDITORIAL INTERNSHIPS
Chicago magazine's editorial department seeks motivated, enthusiastic self-starters to help with research and fact-checking. Applicants should be detail-oriented and meticulous researchers. An English or journalism background is preferred but not required.
The bulk of the job is fact-checking; however, interns are encouraged to attend weekly editorial meetings and pitch story ideas. Our paid internships are four days a week and typically last three months. Hiring is competitive.
Chicago magazine also features two specialty research internships, one for our dining section and one for our special publication Chicago HOME. (To apply for HOME, please see below.) An interest in restaurants or home design is useful but not necessary.
Applications are taken well in advance. Deadlines are as follows:
* Summer, April 1
* Fall, August 1
* Winter, Nov. 1
* Spring, March 1
